How Build A Rabbit Hut I Live In South Texas And Would Like To Have A Pet Rabbit, But I Have Some Questions First!?

I live in south Texas and would like to have a pet rabbit, but I have some questions first!? - how build a rabbit hut

My plan is to build a large house for the rabbit in the shade outside in my garden, you can live outside during the summer when you have a good shower and a little shade? I think the rabbit to move home in the winter, but South Texas summers are very hot ... I was hoping that someone from a warmer area Experience with rabbit could give me some advice?

Not in Texas, sorry. The rabbits are stressed by heat above 85 F. In fact, more tolerant to cold temperatures so hot. Stay at home all the time.

Rabbits can heat above 80 º C or 85 º F.
While Texas summer almost certainly fatal.

If the box is well ventilated and shaded, the rabbit can be good, but I would not take the risk that
I do not know how cold it is in Texas in the winter, but rabbits are actually much more tolerant to cold than they are in the heat. We see wild rabbits away from home all the time in the winter here in Ohio.

Rabbits should not be kept outside, anyway.
Not only the general climate and unhealthy for them, but predators, they can achieve, or at least to scare.

Rabbits in animal housing are living longer, happier and healthier than their peers who live outside. Most rabbit owners and experts strongly against keeping rabbits outdoors.

Here are some good web sites on rabbit care:

Your rabbit will suffer heat stroke in your climate.
You are better off used with the stable in a brick garage for the summer, when he grows up. Enter a fan first-class service that you can attach to the wall of the cage and the freezing plastic bottles of Coca Cola per day for the rabbits on the contrary, in the heat of the day.

You have your bread to live outside of everything. The weather and predators have to. Even in the shade will not work. In addition, rabbits have on the outside tend to be more patient less attention and are just unhappy in general. However, would, if you want to take your rabbit in a pen, and monitored to be nice.
