Since you asked about "the best medicine" and called side effects, I wonder if hypothyroidism is not well explained. The thyroid gland produces a hormone, thyroxine (T4 or thyroid hormone as known). If your thyroid is undreactive We take extra thyroxine. Thus, the "medicine" is exactly what in your system.

But one important thing that you do not, what dose you should be able to imagine - Everyone needs a different dose and it may take months to resolve to. The only way to know the right dose, to monitor blood. It is dangerous to take thyroxine, without success. You must include a few visits are brief and do not need to see a specialist, even a few blood tests.

If you use the wrong dose, and take too little, hypothyroidism, and will probably not be treated worse. If you take losing too much, too much weight, rugged, and feeling, the risk of cardiac arrhythmias and osteopprosis be long term. This is not something I recommend that you take without medical supervision.

When this happened, I took Synthroid. It's cheap, and seemed to help. In fact, it helps regulate the thyroid, mines and brought in the normal range.

Synthroid. Side effects, check with a reference to good faith, the PDR on the adverse effects of levothyroxine, and not a benign agent.
